This is by my pond where henry 10 took a pic of my castor beans on Saturday. Of course he was here before Katrina! Like the castor bean bridge? LOL
Can we turn off the water please?? And maybe some sun...
Ears and castors leaning from the same conditions.
More than anything today, I want to thank all the wonderful people down south that have shared these with me. When you all get things straightened out down there, let me know if you need anything returned to you. I am talking to Donna and Ely and Delecie and Molly and Rylaff and justmelisa all the other wonderful people getting slammed by the weather right now. We did get a bunch of rain, but nothing compared to what you all are getting. You all are in my thoughts.
yes if i can help in any way let me know i have had some great people help me with plants and information.
the most important thing is you're health but i would be willing to donate some plants for people that lost there tropicals just let me know.

Wow, what a jungle! And an overwhelming job of potting for the move in my opinion, looks like a nursery!
Wait, in that one picture, is that a Rice paper plant? I was supposed to possibly get one in a trade with ryliff but never heard back after her last storm. I love anything big leafed.

I should have called Badseed on the cell last night but..........
We lost our phone line due to a downed limb so had to wait till I got to work to post.
There was some downed trees and limbs so getting to work was fun but no biggie in the sceme of things.
Some good news from the FL front.
I had ordered some robusta from Enid before Katrina hit them near Lauderdale.
I figured that was an order that would take months now.
Well it shipped yesterday! So Enid must not have been heavily hit.
We also have started transplants and cuttings for the rebuild.
I'm sure it will be months before they are needed though.
Chele and I LUCKED WAY out on this Katrina hit for sure.
Ric
Which plant do you mean Sue? Aren't they all big leaved? LOL I do have a rice paper plant but I don't think I posted it. That is in another pot collection. Geesh!
Gee Ric, sorry about your utility problems. Luckily no trees have fallen close to me and we actually kept our electric. Normally big storms or a lot of water take ours down. Yesterday was Morganne's birthday and it would have been rough having dinner without the stove.
Oops, ok its the "Canna falling over and breaking from too much water and not enough light." picture. The green leaf in the middle.
Great pics Badseed.... kind of sad to see the season end isn't it ..... Where do you send/keep your kids.....
I am amazed Chele. You are a busy girl.
I am watching the pics on the devastation on TV. I can't believe it all. They just showed Metairie where my sister lives or lived I guess. Her house must be gone. I can't imagine how that must feel. I think it will be a long while till they even have a yard back.
Aha! That is confederate rose, a type of hibiscus. I have two different ones courtesy of one of the sweetest people I have ever met, another from MS. She has had probably one of the worst years and still she smiles through it and holds her faith. One of them has buds!! This is my first year with them.
Thank you vs. When the season comes to an end here (between Oct-Nov, depending on the year), I try to bring 2 of everything in and the rest go to DG pals in CA, TX, FL, GA, AZ, basically anywhere they can resume the life they should have. :)
Kell, some of us like to pretend we are in zone 9. LOL I truly enjoy my plants and they complain a whole lot less than the girls!
