besides the late-blooming alliums, I only have a handful of alpines blooming currently. This is Cyananthus lobatus, a Campanula relative that loves acidic soil. This was a new plant I got this spring from Beaver Creek.

I can only ooooh and ahhhh at the remarkable plants and gardens that I've been seeing on this forum. It's completely foreign to me and that is, in a way, the beauty of it-like being on another planet. thanks for all the pictures, todd- there is a chill in the air here at nights- is summer really coming to an end? here's one thing i'm looking forward to this winter.. i'm going to go back over all the pictures of plants in your garden and then work out my spring orders from those! you have really inspired me this season, thanks!! sarah
Todd and G, I love your cyclamen pics (here and on the cyclamen show thread). So interestingly beautiful. I wish I could grow them even half as successfully.
I do have some inula and a few other little things blooming, but the garden is winding down, even though it's an unseasonable 86 degrees this week...(if only we had had this weather in April). I have loved looking at all of your alpine pics in the past few months. thanks for posting all of them. (-:
