I posted this on the "Bulbs" forum as well, but figured that some of you herb folk might also be growing this.
I am interested in growing some Saffron Crocus & have found it offered in a few fall bulb catalogs that I've received recently.
Since I know it's fall flowering & goes thru a summer dormant period, do I still plant it in the fall like other bulbs?
Saffron Crocus
The ones I ordered from seeds of change came in the spring and flowered in the fall. The stamens were few, but enough for one tasty dish. Then I moved so no further information available.
I would, however, assume fall planting is okay.
I planted some of these last fall, I'm thinking it was late September, and they popped right up and bloomed!
Thanks!!
