White South African Foxglove 'Alba' (Ceratotheca triloba)

Nicely exposed picture of a stately plant...bet it was hard to keep the image from being overexposed with that pure white flower!

Tell me, do you know if the white SAF and lavender SAF will produce viable hybrid seeds or will they not cross-pollinate if grown in somewhat close proximity?

Gerris2, thank you. This is my first year with the white so I don't know if they will cross. I know the seed from the lavender do come back true to form. I hadn't thought about them crossing. I am growing both this year so will be intresting to see what the seed produces next year.

Thank you for the information. Let me know how the experiment turns out with the F1 progeny.

Gerris2, if the Alba is like the lavender I will have tons of seed if you would like to experiment as well give me a yell later in the season.

It's a deal, thanks!!
