Butterworts are great gnat catchers (plug for carnivorous)

You may have seen some posts about a suggestion for a carnivorous plant forum. I just want to mention that butterworts make for excellent fungus gnat catchers. Here's an icky pic: http://davesgarden.com/pf/showimage/86244/

I'm new to them too, but I'm finding that some species (a relatively "common" kind in cultivation) likes AV conditions. I'm planning on getting a few more, and hopefully cutting back on the Marathon I have sprinkled all over the place.

Oh, and here's the link to the new forum proposal for anyone who might be interested: http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/539781/

I wonder if they'd catch white flies too?? I would be very interested in a plant that could do both. :) I'm having a horrible time with them right now, I can't imagine how bad they'll be this winter.

Thank you for the information, and thank you for the link- hadn't seen that. I wonder if there's a cheap source for them?

I'm 90% sure that someone I know is catching whiteflies with her butterwort. And also some HDs and Lowes carry them.
