Hi all
Must show you this photo.
Christina and I and a lot more people have been at an exhibition today . The south swedish hoyasociety is there for 3 days and Christina was with me today.
On the photo it is Christina in jeans and a long hair. You see only her back, she is in action.
Sorry Christina. Can you explain it better?
Think she give me a call tomorrow. LOL
Best wishes
Rosita
most show you
You ladys are funny! :)
Cindy
Yayyy. Christina's a tall chick like me.
ann
Cindy, funny is not the proper word to describe Rosita...
Rosita, what's more to explain? I think you covered pretty much all of it. My back, my hair, jeans, that I'm working... I hope this is the only photo you will post here! Remember, I can always add more "shadows" in PhotoShop!
Just kidding, we had a great day. It was actually my first day "working" with Rosita and she's an okay lady to work with! A little shorter than me, but...
If you look carefully at the picture Rosita posted... Behind the table, in between me and the lady in white, you'll find Rosita. And in case you can't see her, here we are!
Christina
Oh no... That DG text just "happened" to get in my face... Oh well, at least you see Rosita!

OMG....a whole BOOTH selling hoyas with pictures & everything. I would have gone totally berserk. I can feel my heart beating faster just looking at that booth and imagining being there. Ha. Good thing for my budget that they don't have any such booth anywhere near here.
Marcy
Okay, that's it! Who wants to be in charge of starting one in the states! I would be all for it! Wouldn't that be so much fun, and overwhelming. Christina, you seem very camera shy! I love being able to put faces with who I am talking to. Now, I can imagine talking with Christina and Rosita! Have a great three days. If you feel the urge to photograph anything, I would be happy to gaze at the pictures!!

Looks everyone is having a wonderful time and lots of fun! We need a better picture of you Christina!
:) Donna
That looks like to much fun!!! A hoya booth --I would like to be there. It would be fun having a day of hoya talk !!
Hehe! It looks like you have girl and boy aprons! :)
Cindy
Christina...don't be so shy...you are SO pretty! Rosita, you are lovely, too!!! But the picture is SO small.
How cool is THAT! The Swedes know how to do things...I say!
Carol
MsKitty...tall like me too - I used to be 6' but I think I've shrunk to 5'10.5. Short for my width!
Marcy, I am with you, looking at the all the Hoyas in the background. Can you imagine, 3 whole days with Hoyas, sound pretty wonderful to me. Rosita, was it just your booth that had Hoyas, or were there other booth's set up? I am sure you hooked a few newbies. What great fun that would be to go to. It is also good to put a face with a name too. Deb
The thing I like about the photos it the fact they are wearing long pants and long sleeves. It's so miserably hot here. You could sweat in your birthday suit.
Right now I am envying anyone who can stand to walk around outside fully clothed.
Yes, and tables full of hoya too. Good grief....
Please send us a larger photo Christina and Rosita.
Signed,
Short, chubby and very blonde!
Oh, I would just wet my pants if I went to the farmers market and seen a Hoya booth. :0 My heart is just racing. How fun would that be!!! Christina and Rosita, how fun for you, and what a great way to spend three days.
I agree with Carol....the pictures are too small! Looks like you two are having a great time. I'd love to be there too! Ahhh....to be surrounded by so many hoyas in one place!
Well, I have to admit that I was only there Saturday, but Rosita and a few others were there the whole weekend. We are the South Swedish Hoya Society and it's mainly the people in the society (not members) that take part on these occasions. It's a way for us to "get paid" for all our work that we put in for free. We get to sell our own cuttings according to fixed prices and if you are prepaired for a whole weekend you can make a few $. Some take the opportunity to sell big plants that they think need new homes... That's how I found a BIG 'Lao 1' for you Carol! Any member of our society is more than welcome to visit our stand and they sure do.
The Swedish Hoya Society was also there, but there wasn't much time for chatting.
Nex event for us (SSHS) is our autumn meeting on September 17th, then we have our Christmas party on December 10. It's our way of getting together and also to meet other members of the society. Rosita also opens up her home to us once a year, and this year it was on July 30 and quite a few came.
Christina
Rosita....thanks for the pic, I'd be up there with a shopping cart. Can you give me an idea of what hoyas were up for sale.
Ric
- OH...be still my heart!!! ;>)
Carol, I'm 6' 1"... Is it really true that you shrink with age? Rosita said the same thing...
Christina
It is true. My sister has shrunk a lot, and I am too. Good to start out tall I guess.
Marcy
Rats! I'm in big trouble then not starting out very tall to begin with. Sounds like a fun weekend and what a wonderful opportunity to buy hoyas.
Sandy
Well, Carol as a current 6-footer, I am here to tell you that the shrinking with age thingy simply means you have to put on higher heels.
Thicker flipflops!
Hi you guys, I saw this in the newsletter and came over to nose around. I am ashamed to say that I don't know what a hoya is, so I am going to ooh and ahh over them in the Plant Files.
I am 6' tall also and would have to be 8' to be height/weight proportionate, so I hope I don't shrink too much before my hips do:)
Rachel
Ain't it great in Parades?!!!!!
