Morning thoughts about brugs

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

Do you see the white brug in this picture? It's a v. peach x Pink Beauty H-JT SP-Linda07. This brug is not very interesting to some. It is a nondescript white. I myself was so disappointed at the first flowers earlier in the year. I half heartedly planted it in the ground. This brug has been drowned, baked, drooped from lack of water, starved and eaten by a few hornworms. It is one of the best performers I have and it flowers its head off for a long time. I wouldn't trade it for the fanciest persnickety brug in the world.

Lord knows we need HARDY brugs. Those who can take a beating from Mother Nature and keep on going!! You can refer to her as My Hardy White, except that may lead others to think she can live through a zone 6 winter. Who knows maybe she can!!

My thoughts too. I'm marking my good performers and 'easy to live with' ones. They will be head of the line to go into the gh. The frail, persnickety ones will be put on the curb.

You'll soon realize that I am REALLY new at this. This plant looks like one in my mothers yard that we've always called an Angel Trumpet. Are they related? sr

Congratulations on such a great performer.
