Vine for front porch.

I would like to grow a vine up the railing of my front porch. The house faces east and gets some morning sun, but not a great deal since there is a stately hemlock out there too. So I would need a vine that can endure a lot of shade. I have never heard of a vine that likes shade. Any ideas?
