Can they be started by cuttings? And if they can does any one have any for postage or trade.I have several tropicals to trade and a few rose babies. Thanks,Jody
I want a few Hoyas to add to my houseplant collection
Hi, Jody.
I have included a website on propagation from the International Hoya Association http://www.international-hoya.org/prop.html
Also, I have been very successfull in taking a stem with at least four leaves on it, popping the bare part of the stem in a glass of water and in a few weeks have nice long roots that are easy to plant.

MsKitty thanks for the link I book marked it.Now to get a few cuttings.:-)
Hi Jody!
For now I can only offer cuttings of some of the more common ones that I've had long enough to mature. My others that are a bit less common are just rooted cuttings/small plants that haven't grown enough to take cuttings yet. Anything in particular you are looking for? I have some of the carnosas, kentiana (a favorite of mine), brevialota.
Sharon_TN,
I just like the looks of them, not an expert yet so I'm not picky about what kind I get.Any will be great.I like both #1 and #2.I like #2 the red the best,I can't find a photo of the third one. Thanks,Jody
Oh maybe you can add them to the PlantFiles, since they aren't there.
JodyC, umh, I'm sorry, but you lost me. What are #1 and #2? Not sure what you are referring too????
Oh I was refering to the order you posted the kinds you have.lol.
I probably did loose you.Sorry about that.
Oh no... She's had her first "shot". Once is enough to get addicted!
I also said I would try "one"... That was 10 years ago and 110 more hoyas!

Someone who is fond of cactus and succulents is going to like hoyas too as most are easy care, forgiving, and like almost the same watering scheduals. I live in a hot dry climate and they do fine here along with the cactus and succulents that I raise also. Many times you will find them in C&S sections in nurserys, That is why I got my first one. Then after it bloomed a few times, I was determined to learn more about them. Now that I discovered the many kinds of them shown on these websites, I keep wanting more & more.
Marcy
Thanks Jody for the clarification. Send me a DG-email and include your mailing address.
lol @ you girl...you're gonna have a housefull of plants before you know it!
E me (again!) and i can send a few, too.
Hoya's wow! these plants look beautiful and I have never had one.
Can they be grown in central fla zone 9.Orlando? I would love to have some if anyone has any for postage or trade for something that I have. Drop a note to me.
Jody, if you will send me your address, I will send you some rooted hoya cuttings
to get started with.
Patricia
Oh, Hoya cuttings for postage?! OH OH, me tooo! Can I have some too? HUH? HUH? Can I huh? PLEEEASE?
I have a couple already....and now know the names thanks to all of you on DG. I have Krimson Princess, green "Hindu Rope", "Strawberries and Cream", and....what I "THOUGHT" was Hoya Bilobatta but have since learned is "DS-70" (see my other posting ~~~what kind of name is that anyways?!?) =0)
So if anyone has something different than what I listed I would trade for postage.
....and hey, Jodi......if you want a couple cuttings from the ones I listed, let me know. Wish I would have known you wanted hoyas when I sent you all the other stuff! LOL
Betsy
HI Betsy, I will have a few extra cuttings that I can send you after I see what I
have left this weekend. I will make sure I don't send something you already have. Just send me your e-mail address. I will be leaving to go out of town next Wednesday and would like to get them sent before I leave town.
Patricia
Patricia, If you have any left, I'd like to put my name on the list for them. I only have 3 now. h. carnosa, H. Kentiana & H. laconosa.
Thanks,
Jan

Hi, I have quite a "few" hoyas in total around 160 but some are still babies, that I can take cuttings from :) Iīm new here so I donīt know how you do, changing e-mail or what? :)
Wow...hey Marie....WELCOME! I thought your name was new. Then I thought maybe "Maria" had changed her title name or something. You guys live in the same town, huh? Do you visit each other?
Anyway, I am so happy to welcome another member from that GREAT HOYA-GROWING place across the sea.
Feel free to ask anything at all...we are all just learning here together.
