There is a Bird Mart this weekend Sat & Sun 9am-5pm
Admission is $4.oo per person, free to children under 12 and Senoir discount $3.oo
A great place to see some of the areas best breeders and vendors. Get great information on many different breeds of birds and see them up close and hear them, too! There will be guest speakers , too.
"The Bird Mart is at the Galveston Island Convention Center at the San Luis Resort (next to the San Luis Hotel), not Moody Gardens. The easiest way I have found to get there is to take 45 South to 61st Street (in Galveston). Turn right and stay on 61st street until it dead ends into Seawall Blvd. Turn left and go 3 blocks -- the convention center is on the left. Your cross street is 57th and Seawall Blvd. There is a traffic light at 57th Street -- once you turn left you will see the entrance for the parking garage, which is under the convention center.
There is free covered parking for at least 1,000 vehicles.
Please DO NOT bring your own pet animals to this event."
