Help.. need a supplier

Crestview, FL(Zone 7b)

BarbaraW gave me several plants that will need a bark mounting pole to support them.. one is variegata Monstera deliciosa and the other one.. hmmm.. I don't think she told me.. but it too has aerial roots and needs something to cling to. I've looked locally at garden centers and couldn't find anything... decided to search on-line and found everything from tomato cages to a pvc pine tree.. HONEST.. see it here.. http://www.engend.com/Show_T2_Product_Data.php?CATID=2&PRODID=1 Anyway.. if you know what I am talking about... and know where I can find/purchase one.. PLEASE post.. Merci!

I think it was Kell that was looking for these awhile back. You might ask her. I have considered cutting a piece of lumber to say 2x2 and whatever height and wrapping it with rope or twine.

I thought they were called moss poles but didn't want to say it until I looked. I did not want to sound REALLY stupid. LOL I searched on google and one post said you could get them at Home Depot but I have never looked. Other companies seem to be in the UK. This one is in Ireland. http://www.woodiesdiy.com/woodies/dept.asp?dept%5Fid=12468&shop=woodies&mscssid=9N8VUDPBFUKR9HCJWVA07M3GL6PN6B63

You lucky lady, Trish. That monstera is just beautiful. I noticed Barbs right away, so HUGE!!! I want to move to her house.

Mel sent me some vintage poles she found in a store but my problem was the monstera grew so fast. So I had to repot it in a huge ceramic pot and I put in a 6 ft red wood or maybe it was 8 ft piece of redwood. I should have covered it with moss but I didn't. It really wants to grow up the wall. It has very long aerial roots.

It looked odd at first but the monstera seems to be liking it now. I will have to see if it clings to it. It keeps trying to climb up on my wall in my dining room. If Tom sees that he will kill it and me.

If you find a better solution, let me know Trish. I have found this will grow as big as your pot lets it. I have 3 more left that I bought at the same time as mine and they have not grown at all for I have not potted them up in pot size. Mine has grown so much and has been potted up fast.
