Hi,
I don't have any to offer. I would like to send stamps for the butterfly bush seeds and scarlet bee balm seeds. Please let me know where to send the stamps.
Thank you very much for sharing,
Eliza
Can you tell me how you collect your butterly bush seeds?
Thanks,
Gwendalou
KATELIZA-ID....I still have some and will be glad to send them for 2-37 cent stamps...But I will need your address. Unless I have overlooked it...I don't see it in the addrerss exchange.
GWENDALOU....
Here we go...BUTTERFLY BUSH SEEDS 101...lol
Look where your brown dead flower heads are. On some of them....you will see some thick green.** fingernail clipping** looking things. Those are the seeds. Not all the branches have them. My yellows hardly ever have them...my white ones are loaded with them, and they are very easy to spot on the white ones.
I just clip the branch end...bring them in the house, and lay them in my bay window on a brown paperbag until they turn brown...then I take my trusty kitty litter pan ( that I have drilled lots of holes in the bottom) and fill it with gravel and a bit of Pro mix..sprinkle some seeds in it. Mist it well and move it outside under my dogwood tree and let nature take it from there. I get about a 75% baby rate doing them this way. I had NO luck in seed trays...but this way works very well for me.
Hope this helps!!
Sue
Interesting! I might give this a try. That sounds like it might work with other types of seeds too.
Gwendalou
Sue,
Aren't you going to wait for the stamps first? My address is in the Xchange, but check your email, I will give you my address through DMail. I also need your address to send the stamps.
Thank you very much,
Eliza
I'm assuming the moon vine are Ipomoea alba and the standard white coloration. I would buy you one of the plants for the blue coloration I'm trying to ID here http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/541276/ picture below, but I might still be interested in the white.
ZHINU...Yes my seeds are white. I didn't know they came in any other color. That is a beautiful flower...but I have no idea what it could be. It looked like a morning glory to me too...but I am real new to morning glories...so my opinion does not count,,,lol.
I will gladly send you some seeds though if you waqnt some. Just dmail me your address and send me 2 - 37 cent postage stamps, and I will gladly get them out to you.
KATIE..... I will get them out for you in the morning. I have a tendency to trust folks for the stamps. My hubby gets on me about some of the stuff I do...but I feel folks here at DG are fantastic. I have not been let down so far. So I will trust you for the stamps and get these out for you!!!
Sue
blckwolf, please check in on the Weather Forumn: Katrina Clean-Up, Follow-Up thread. there is a check in list of members from each of the gulf coast states going, and they are trying to account for everyone.
I'm glad to see you here! Did you have much damage?

WOW!! Thanks so much for this info. I had no idea.
We lost power last night at around 8;30, and it just came back on about 1 1/2 hours ago. I spent most of today cutting trees that fell in the yard, and fixing fences that got crashed. But we are ok.
My husband spent all day in Bham cutting trees and tarping houses for folks. He said it was pretty bad in most areas there. But nothing like the folks in LA,MS, and so. AL. My prayers go out to all of them!!
Thanks again
Sue
Thanks so much!! I will tell him...if I get to see him...lol I will leave him a note by the coffee pot...that way I KNOW he will get it.
Thanks again so much!!!!
