I hate to say it Awanda, but the innocent face always belies some naughtiness deep inside... personally, I think that is a good thing!
Actually, though, it is that uber-pimp Carol from Aloha Hoyas that must take most of the blame (although in the last couple of days Awanda certainly has been a baaaaad influence, helping Carol to get me hooked on this forum). I figured if most people on this forum were anything like Carol I would really enjoy myself here.
I feel like I know a little bit about each of you already, so let me introduce myself:
My name is Ann Strahm (but because I am a bit cheeky I made my login name MsKitty)
I am currently finishing up my sociology degree and will soon (I hope) be teaching sociology in the not too distant future.
I am the very proud caretaker of around 30 Hoyas and I would really like to learn more about these wonderful plants. My oldest Hoya, which I have had for 10 years, just bloomed and the scent fills the entire apartment (Hoya pubicalyx Royal Hawaiian Purple).
Thank you all for such a warm welcome - thanks to you, beautiful Awanda, for starting this thread.

Welcome Ann, you will really enjoy this forum. I have been growing Hoyas for a while now too, and I really can learn something nearly everyday. It is amazing what powerful information flows through all these posts. You will be drooling when you look at everyone's beautiful pictures too. This is a great addiction, and both Awanda, and Carol will continue to keep you hooked. Deb
