Second ET - Bert seedling

RICHMOND, VA(Zone 7b)

Here is the blossom from this cross of Calas - do we need another creamy yellow?
I prefer propagating the nodding varieties, and this one is vigorous and strong with a lomony scent.
A keeper?

The first seedling was a real keeper:

Polly she is really pretty, congrats to you and Susie :-))

I love both of them, they're both stunning!

I really like the first seedling. The color is great. This new one reminds me of a datura. Maybe the way the blooms look head on.

Ashton, IL(Zone 5a)

That darker colored seedling is beautiful.

Brugie, my thoughts exactly.

Both are lovely flowers! Congrats to you & Susie!

I'm loving the Bert hybrids! Very very pretty!

ET wants to hold its flowers vertical when they first open, sometimes they point straight up!
My Bert has had a rough summer, he got sunburned on his stem and almost died, he is in recovery in the shade now.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Are both from the same cross, Polly? So different. I do not love the first pic. The skirt lacks any zsa zsa zsu. I have a few of those that just flowered that need to go away. At least yours has that upturned flower, I find that very appealing.

The second one is so delightful in every way!!

What is "ET"? It isn't on Scoot's Brugmansia Abbreviation List so I'm in the dark.

A goofy little alien that's always trying to call home! That's why the flowers are pointing up... better reception.

I think it is Eventide. Just a guess though.

Shut. Up. Blaine. LOL.

So there is no consensus about #2?
It is my only yellow Brug, and I like the upright bloom - but should I overwinter it? It adds to my garden now.
There is no question that I'll keep the #1 seedling,
ET is Eventide; my bush here was devastated by s. mites in June, and has recovered ; it is a bushy 3 ft plant with small leaves (maybe in a small pot?), but has probably 100 buds everywhere; I am eager to see them bloom.

I keep plants that I never intend to name, but just because I like them. You do what feels best for you. If you like it...keep it. I have one that blooms up also and I may keep it another year or maybe I'll be tired of it this year, but I did hold it over from last year. Whatever you do, enjoy!

Amen Shirley!
I think I'll do the same BUT I get to have fun with unconventional naming of the private stock. :)
