2nd Green butterfly needs id.

Fort Lauderdale, FL(Zone 10b)

This is an enlarged shot of a second green butterfly at the Key West Conservatory. I had taken several shots of this butterfly elsewhere in the conservatory, but they didn't show the true green colors of the insect. In those shots which needed flash, the green colors didn't show. In this shot I was actually showing how a sea grape was trained to a trellis. The butterfly happened to be in the shot. Fortunately it was a good enough shot that the section with this butterfly in it came out ok when enlarged.

Thanks for any help.

That is a surpsising one to find in America. It looks to me like the Australian Green-spotted Triangle Graphium agamemnon http://linus.socs.uts.edu.au/%7Edon/larvae/papi/agamem.html

kennedyh, Thanks for the quick and on the money ID. At the conservatory they have mostly imported varieties from around the world.
Each one they bring in needs to be registered.
Each of the offshoots they breed needs to be registered and monitored cradle to grave.

I have visited this conservatory twice and Butterfly World, which is just up the road, once. During those visits I photographed this butterfly several times. Of all the shots I have of it, this is the only one that retained it's true colors. I believe it is because the shot was in decent natural light. In the other shots I took the flash went off. This shot had plenty of available light.

Thanks again
