Hi - I posted this on another thread and couldnt figure out how to delete it so here it is again. I live in Calgary and garden on a large old inner city lot. I have several hundred feet of mostly perennial garden beds around the property plus a large, raised bed veggie garden. Ive been gardening here for about 15 years. Last year I entered the annual garden competition and took a first and 3 second prizes. I'm retired so have lots of time to spend in the garden . I also volunteer with the Hort. Society. I have two dogs and we dabble in agility and obedience competition.
Here's my favorite picture taken last year. The beds are on the south side of my house(on the right)

Hi Carol,
Saw your post on the other thread, but didn't want to hi-jack it with a welcome there; so I'm glad you posted here. Welcome to DG. You'll really enjoy it. Nice yard you have in Calgary. Hope to meet you in more of the Forums.

Hi Carol, welcome. So nice to have another prairie gardener around.
Hello Carol, I love your photo.
Welcome to Dave's, Carol. That is a great photo. It looks like you have a lovely garden.
Sandy
hey welcome to another westerner; there are too few of us prairie folk here. So much so that Edmontonians and Calgarians have to band together LOL
The prairie balance is being redressed. Welcome from Manitoba.

Hi Carol. I saw your other message too, but would like to welcome you again to the Canadian Gardening Forum of Dave's Garden.
You can delete whatever you wrote in that other tread by clicking on edit under your name in that post and then just deleting the words. The post itself won't be deleted, but you can delete everything you typed and even the picture. You might want to insert a link to this thread in place of what you delete, with a short explanation.

Welcome! It's great to have another person who is kinda close.
Having you join means that the gap between all of us is closing up. Your gardens look super and that is no small feat in Calgary with dogs to boot.
I look forward to seeing more of your posts and with 15 yrs under your belt, of prairie gardening, you will have excellent advice for us all.
Ann the one from Edmonton
Welcome Carol. Your gardens are lovely. I look forward to seeing more of them. --the other Ginny, from mid-western Ontario - Ontario's West Coast ;-)
