Visiting Kin

Castlegar, BC(Zone 6b)

Well, since Liz told me to post 'em, here is a photo of my Son, Jeff and Grandson, Gage from Edmonton on their visit over the past couple days. Momma couldn't come. She's management for Telus. Nuff said. This is a Streetcar that is popular with the tourists. Gage loved it.

Here are my boys, swinging in the backyard Hammock. We had a great visit. Just what Grandma needed. :)

Gage really enjoyed feeding the fish in the Pond.

Nice pictures Donna. I'm glad you shared them. It sure must have been nice to have had them visiting over the weekend. A nice positive diversion for you. How old is Gage? He's pretty cute and he looks like he's at that wonderful fun stage.

That streetcar looks really neat. It would certainly be a tourist attraction I'd like to check out if I was to visit Castlegar. Your pond looks pretty interesting too....lots of healthy looking plants. Of course, I'm a bit partial to ponds....especially it they have fish in them. lol

Donna, your boys are lovely, and your pond looks really healthy.
Does the streetcar operate in your town just for tourists or is it like a bus?

Donna, thanks for sharing your pictures of family. He looks like a happy little boy, and very intrigued with your lovely pond.

Love the old streetcar pic. We still have them in Toronto, but I haven't been in there for a while.

Thanks everyone.

Sandy, Gage is three and full of mischief, energy and happiness. Just like his daddy was. They are both wonderful. :)

Joelle and Sandy, the Streetcar is operational and takes tourists for rides, but you'd have to go to Nelson for the trip. Nelson is about a 30 minute drive north of here. The Streetcar runs on old original tracks from years ago when the Streetcars were actually used for transportation. It's a nice scenic little trip that runs right along the Kootenay Lake.

Wilma and Joan, the weather has been stellar for the past 6 weeks, after my boys left yesterday, it turned cloudy and cooler with highs only in the low 20's. Unfortunately, the clouds didn't bring more than a sprinkle of rain, and we are supposed to be back to our normal highs in the low thirties with sunny skies by tomorow.
My pond is looking really good right now, the plants are about 80% coverng the surface now and the water condition is great clear and clean. Fishies are happy. :)
