Hi Rosita, I would have to say patella too! My patella will not grow it just sits there, over a year now nothing... whats up with that, any ideas? By the way all the plants I got from you all have new growth and are doing great! :)

Yes, it is H.patella. Cindy, you can have the pot in a glass vase or something like that. H. patella needs very much humidithy.
Rosita
Great Christina, you know what it is.

Ok, thank you! I'll remember that, its in the green house right now so when I bring it back in for the winter I'll put it in a glass house. :)

Why is this one a favourite for you, Rosita? Why should the rest of us get one?

I have also had trouble with H. patella. I have purchaced 2 from David Liddle. The first one died. I bought the second one this spring and it has not grown, but, I did find a small single flower bud on a 8" plant with only 3 leaves! I guess that means there is hope for it.

That is a really pretty flower, Rosita! Would you happen to have a photo of the plant? Did you find it to be a slow starter? It worries me when I see that Cindy is having trouble getting her plant established as she is excellent at growing the more difficult species.

Mel, mine is doing about the same thing your's is. It finally has put out one tiny vine.

Gorgeous!!!

It's beautiful Rosita. It looks different to most of the hoyas I've seen in pictures. Are the flowers individual and is the vine much thinner than most other ones? I'm new to hoyas and just curious.

Rosita, do you grow it cooler than others? Darker?

Trelleborg, Sweden

This is my favorite because it is small, will not be a hugh plant. Flowering very often year around. The flower is big 3-4cm. The vines is very thin, and I grow in a terrarium(aquarium) with light and high humidithy. If I grows patella in a room, the vine dry out every time, but now it growing very fast. I have 3 plants, 2 of them has flowering. Last one I wait for hope it is the white one. Individual flower, yes.
Collectors must have this Hoya in the collection it is so beautiful.
Yes Carol darker but not cooler.

It's a beautiful little plant Rosita. It almost doesn't look real. It's interesting how it grows better in an aquarium.

Sandy, very early in the morning.

Rosita, you have a magic touch. What a beautiful plant. I have had this plant on my wish list for quite a while now. I had never seen the plant, only close-ups of the leaves. I was shocked to see the size of plant compared to those huge flowers. I can see why it is a favorite. It looks like it roots easy with all the humidity it gets in the terrarium. Thanks for sharing pictures of your beautiful plant. Deb

Very unique and very lovely!

YES, that is one beautiful plant! You have given me hope, Rosita!!!! I will try it in a terrarium as you suggested.

Your plant is doing better than mine, Patrica. I have the one flower bud, but, that can be a scary thing too because dying Hoyas will often flower right before they bite the dust.

Oh I love it! Beautiful plant and I *really* like the flowers!
