I have a question...and it maybe a dumb one, but this is all new to me... so please bear with me...
When you folks send seeds, how many do you send?
The reason I am asking is...
Today I got 4 envies returned back to me from the PO for more postage. I have updated my post- thread for seeds, asking folks to send 49cents for postage. I believe in putting a nice portion of seeds in each package, for folks. I have lots of plants and love to share.
I usually put large pinch in a pack for things like Bee Balm and Butterfly bush seeds.
I put 1/2 teaspoon of Confederate rose,Touch me nots, and seeds about that size.
I put 1/4 teaspoon of tiny seeds like Rose Campion.
Moonvine seeds...are much bigger so I put from 5-7 seeds in a package.
Am I doing this right?
Being new to this, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think it really is the discretion of the trader, but if you have a limited number make sure the other person knows how much of the seed you will be sending if you are trading. if you are sending for a sasbe any you send they should be grateful for ;)

I hope you aren't talking about me.
The hollyhock seeds that I sent you were quite big and bulky. I ended up having to pay more due to this. If you want more seeds, I have plenty more to send to you.
But from what I understand here is if the seeds are large that you get less seeds. Please DG people correct me on this if I am wrong.

OH no Carol....You send a nice amount...they just arrived today, and I am trying to email everyone to thank them...just have not go to everyone yet.BTW...thanks so much. I can hardly wait to get them planted!! Thanks so much for the seeds!!

And one more thing...I just figured out how to leave feedback. I have left feedback for EVERYONE I have had finished dealings with, even if they only sent an envie...is this the right thing to do?
Or are you suppose to just leave feedback for folks who send you seeds or plants?
I am unclear about this too.
it's cost .49 cent for the bubble envies because of the size of the envie and can put quite a bit of seeds in there for the price. I also have some very small bubble envies for small seeds and had one come back because I always put Do Not Crush on it. They hand cancel the envie and charge you more when you do that so .49 is standard price for shipping seeds.

In todays mail I got back a very small Bubble envie...it had 50 cents postage on it...so I drove to the PO and handed it to the po lady...she checked it and said the POSTAGE was OVER the amount required. She had no idea why it was returned....Looks like someone at the PO is bored and not wanting to do their job correctly, huh??
Just a bit of info: I send a bubble pack of Huge seeds the other day. I got the postage rate from the PO website. They also said in there, that if you need it hand cancelled to avoid crushing the seeds, you need to pay an extra 12 cents. So I just put 2 - 37 cent stamps on the envelope and the lady received them the next day, no problem.

I always use 2 stamps--never had returned for more postage!
