My Epiphyllum phyllanthus has been producing flowers all summer long in the cage, red seed pods are always forming somewhere on that plant. Today two flowers opened, I snapped a few pictures, helpful DH assisted with the flash light.
Fully open flower around 10 pm -
Epi phyllanthus
Beautiful, Ursula!
MaryEv,
the flowers on this one are not as huge as those on the other night blooming Epis, but they are cute.
Beautiful pictures!
Lovely photos Ursula! I especially love the first one :-)

thanks!! The first one is a bit sharper. This is one tough plant to get a good picture.
Oh, that sounds like a nice blooming epi for you. I am looking forward to getting some of my epi's at the blooming stage. The scent sounds wonderful!
Last year I seeded one of those pods out, they all germinated. I just placed them on top of a dish with cactus soil and rubbed some more soil on them and watered. Seedlings popped up a within a week. Sometimes one of those seed pods falls to the ground, seedlings come up, but they freeze when the weather turns cold. Also, we ate one. It was somewhat sweet, no too bad.
Wow that is cool! Do you have any seeds to trade?
:) Donna
