this brug was given to me as a trial and error for a friend who grew this at a nursery here from seed. i dubbed it mr krinkly for its so pretty in color just to bad it doesnt splay out like it shoud.

well the first flush and second flush look like the pics below.

i gave it plenty of miricle grow 2x a week. we have had plenty of water so not a problem there and has had sunlight and shade.

what caused this?? can it be corrected?? any he;p welcome

now my desision is to keep it or not??? as my friend didnt want it.

It is possible that you just have a screwy seedling that will never be normal. I have one of those that I'm trialing too. It has flowered at least 6 times this year and no matter the conditions the flowers are always the same. mr krinkly wannabees! :)

Oh too sad. I know the feeling. I had one 2 years ago that was gorgeous plant. The blooms looked great up to just before they opened,. Then they rotted. I even cut a sucker off and grew that out. Did the same. It is the genes.

Recently I had a double orange from one of Monika's seeds, it was genetically flawed also. It would drop most of its mature buds and of the ones that would open, only a few were normal looking. So sad.

its been intersting with this one. i got it a few months ago from my friend who wants to remain unknown as he is has a nursery here. i was so thrilled when it put out so many blooms then wham nothing.

hmm might grow it for the sphynx moths. put it in the back of the lot and use it as a nursery plant.

i hate to hear its in the genes.

Scooter my friend said the same thing yeech!!! he didnt want it back at all. he goes all over the world for plants and i love to try new things for him and when i got this one i was thrilled. not so thrilled now.

no cut the flowers off today like we did the first flush. its just so sad.

but cats like the leaves so they can have it.

okay decided that this one probably will make it to the fire pile.

its just so sad. but as some one said to me there are better ones out there.

i am a do till the end when it comes to unwanted plants. my friend told me to toss it but i am a softie. just call me the unwanted plants home. hehe

My Vers Orange after two years of lovely flushes, got spider mites, and produced distorted leaves and blooms in several flushes until the Neem finally worked - check for those

Jackson, SC(Zone 8a)

havent seen any spider mites or anything on it but we do have alot of catapillers and grasshoppers around. oh well ii will see before hubby gets home if i dont see anything to the trash pile it goes.

That is so true Polly!! I had not even thought of that. I rarely have bloom involvement but recently it was my first clue I had a big problem. It was either a virus or mites, thankfully it immediately responded to treatment of Neem sprayed heavily over all its buds and leaves.
