or are these new? I'm looking to trade for these.
does anybody have whit/pink spanish bluebells?
There are white bells and there are pink bells, but both colors in one flower?????
We have Virginia bluebells here and they bloom pink and blue.

bleek, I meant white OR pink. I don't know anything about this plant, but saw it in a catalog recently and believe it can work in my area. I believe most people have blue, but apparently whites and pinks are also available.
winnie, I'm not sure Spanish bluebells and Virginia bluebells are the same. probably related.
No they are'nt the same. I was just saying that the flowers on the plant are both colors.

Google "Wood Hyacinth"...this is another name for Spanish Bluebells....excellent for naturalising....available in Blue, Pink and White or as a mixture.
voss,
I have white, pink and blue spanish hyacinths...I think I read somewhere that the pink and white are weaker growers than the blue, and that was my experience in growing them last spring.
Mine did not get much sun planted on the woodland edge, but I bet you will have a better spot for them and have better luck.
I ordered mine from Scheepers/VanEngelen and a few from Brent and Becky. And I think HD has the mixed group too. Sorry I can't trade you any 'cause I didn't mark where I planted them.
What other bulbs are you planting. You are in a pretty warm zone for most bulbs, aren't you? t.
Voss....look under the plant files under "bluebells" only, and see if that's what you are talking about. The Florida bluebell and mexican petunia are the same. The DO come in purple, pink, and white....I have pink seeds if you need some. The purple I have never seen a single seed on, but where they touch the ground, they send out more roots, so cuttings work well with that one. I do not have white, nor have I ever seen white in person.

thanks, MM, I was talking about hyacinthoides hispanica. Easy to Grow Bulbs carries them in all white, all pink and all blue, and I have bought from them. Locally I can find a mix, but I was looking for single colors. Can't wait til spring to see them come up (crossing fingers as I say this).
