'Vancouver Centennial'

This fancy leafed pelargonium with its bright red little flowers will have to winter indoors as it is not hardy to our frosts in the winter. But it will add a great spot of color to the shade garden!

There were only 12 sellers at the little Farmers Market today but I managed to find a few wonders!

I love this. I don't think I've ever seen a generanium with this type of foliage. I did buy a new one this year that has elongated leaves and the brightest red flower on it that is rather open and pendulous. I planted it inside an old galvanized watering can and like you, I'm going to bring it indoors this winter and keep it for a houseplant.

Loon that sounds intriquing. Do you have a picture of it?

No, but I'll take one tomorrow if the weather cooperates. I feel so stupid. The plant I bought is not a geranium, it's a begonia. LOL I don't know what I was thinking. I don't usually stay up this late, but I can sleep in tomorrow.

This is a new begonia though....at least it's new to me. Here is a link where you can see a pic and description of it. It's called a Dragon Wing begonia.

Cool looking begonia! No wonder it sounded like a new species of Geraniums! LOL You will have to let me know if it does as well as the ad says it will!
