Was a good day yesterday

Phoenix, AZ(Zone 9a)

An acquaintance stopped by to get the pond plants I had promised him and guess what he brought me. Yep, a plumeria, an Abigail seedling, just as cute as can be, little fat thing she is. :-) I also decided to indulge myself and ordered Maui Beauty from Florida Colors. Yippee, I'm a certifiable plumielunatic.

Yippee! I'm a certifiable plumielunatic too! Congrats! Maui Beauty is supposed to be a wonderful one. Everybody raves about it. Your plumies should love that Arizona heat.

Plumerias seem to be becoming quite popular here. I like the fact that they bloom in summer when hardly anything else has the guts. It's so difficult to really enjoy a flower's fragrance when there is very little humidity, but I think the plumies are going to cope with that just fine. My Aztec Gold sure came through with lots of fragrance.

Yes, I agree, plumies are good that way. It's dry here too but not as dry as where you are. The fragrance of some just wafts in the air. Aztec Gold is another favorite for fragrance. Celadine too can't be beat, and Kauka Wilder is a must-have for fragrance.
