I didn't get around to it when that thread was up here at the top... So, here's a belated picture of my violet :)

My veriegated violet
where? :-)
please try again to post the picture.... you can hit "preview" to make sure the file goes through.
Oh, sheesh, I'm a dork!
BTW, Jill- my grandma gave me this one... and the one you sent me didn't make it :(... but I have rooted a leaf from it, so we'll see if she comes up with anything :)! AND... I (just this afternoon, actually) decided to send you the ivy with the algae or fungus or whatever it is... in tow :). Maybe you can do more with it than I have. I'll let you know when I send it. Looks like a few days of nice temperate weather here.
Sarah
haha, don't let that "Daisy" in the background fool you! haha, it's a violet :)
wow, gorgeous... what color is the bloom?
Wow, that's gorgeous!
I'm sorry the "rosie girl" noid didn't make it. I'm just not going to send AVs in hot weather, as they really seem to suffer. I hope the coleus cuttings grew well for you! If your leaf doesn't send up ears, LMK... I have a couple more leaves of that one down.... I may have an extra plantlet, too, just have to count up who has already been promised.
If you're still trying to root that Ficus pumila, I'm willing to wait.... Don't feel you should send me the mother plant! We could just trade for something else down the road too, but don't worry about it.
Actually the mother plant doesn't have whatever is ailing the baby. The plant doesn't seem to mind teh algae... just me! :) I'll get it out to you.
The coleus did grow! I'm working on pinching them back now to fill them out before the weather gets to where I have to bring them in! I'm hoping they'll be happy under my lights over the winter. Even the one that had a rough time in shipping. It has grown from 2 tiny little surviving leaves! :) I forgot to photograph that one, but here are the others! :)

Sarah,
That's a lovely baby! I love the varieagted AV's it really helps show off the blooms color. What color are the blooms????
MsC
Oh, those do look good! They overwinter just fine in the relatively wan winter light that comes through my south facing windows, so they should enjoy being under your lights.
Oh, good, you *were* talking about a baby plant.... Hey, is that variegated Cuban oregano in the bottom of that photo? I was sent a cutting, but it didn't survive summer shipping.
Now you must tell the bloom color of that plant! :-)
I've only had it a few months, never seen it bloom, I'll ask the old lady (my grandma ;) that I got it from! :)
Yes, Critter! Please come help on the ID forum where I've posted that monster! Wait till you read the story of how I got it! I went to the nursery because my 15 year old brother asked me about "psychadelic plants". :) After telling him I would NOT grow pot for him LOL, we settled on finding purple passion.

Anyway, scope it out! I'm eagerly making a list of things to send to you! :)
