I love the 3 Ys, is that unusual, I've never seen or heard of them until this season. I love your seedling, very pretty and yes, she has a lovely shape!!

Is this one yellow Linda? Is it the mother plant of the cutting I'm growing? Or is this a sibling to the one I am growing?

What a beautiful flower! Love those tendrils and calyx.

It's a sibling Vicki, here's another - I think it will stay white.

Pretty shape and tendrils. Citrusy scent?

It might change with weather conditions or age. I was skeptical until my alleged Tropical Sunset started blooming again this week. May blooms in a 90' hoophouse on two different plants were that same lite yellow and neither bloomed again outside in the summer heat. Big whoop and disappointment. Almost tossed them. Now they're both blooming with the darker yellow and orange rim.

Lite citrus scent. The last one is about 12 or more ft high. I had to pull it down to photograph is, then the camera focused on the background. Sometimes, I wish I had 3 hands.

Last year, they performed much better after the weather had cooled down some. As I recall, late Sept and Oct they were really pretty. Then I'll have to start the process of deciding who goes in the gh or garage and who 'hits the curb'. Next year, I plan to have fewer to take care of and maybe I can do a better job. I think I'm getting over the feeling that I have to have every one of them.

My TS cutting were tiny and pesky to root, but finally did and they've just settled in (the ground). Yesterday I fed them well, and my word, they, and some others, look like they jumped up a foot. That's kinda fun...I don't care what color they are, I just hope their fragrance will knock me over...I have a pale yellow, 2nd year seedling, who has zero fragrance, Becca Lynn x CG, nice blooms, some with 6 points, but I'm beginning to be picky, I guess that comes with the territory...

Me too. If all I'm going to have is show stopping looks and have to overwinter then I may as well go further into Dahlias. They love their water and groceries and can definitely have a WOW impact.

IMO, my WalMart double orange hibiscus are twice as nice as any of the brugs without fragrance. If I can't have fragrance, I'll stay with the hibiscus. Like I say, I'm an accidental gardner, especially with brugs. Beauty, IMO, is skin deep. I have no interest in going to the moon, if all I get is green cheese, ya know??!!

(just had to finish your statement gggg)

Blaine, I 've had a lot of dahlias and I don't recall any of them with an aroma unless you want a snout full of earwigs. LOL However, I will say you have a broader color range with them.
