Great photos.

The one in flight takes my breath away!

I watch our hummers dive bomb and side swipe each other over the feeder. One pair willdraw the ruby throat away from the feeder and its mate gets a drink. Then it seems the female will draw ruby throat away so the male can get nectar.

How long do we keep feeding, I usually stop at the end of August.

Do not stop feeding them till they are gone.

Here's the immature male Ruby-throat that has taken over my hanging basket feeder.

Se_eds, leave your feeder out at least 2 weeks after you see the last one. There may be migraters coming thru. I found out from a GA hummer web page that we sometimes get Rufous HBs to overwinter here, so I'm going to leave my feeders up all year. They've been spotted in my county!

They need a fat layer for the big trip so insects and feeders are a big help.

Millersburg, PA(Zone 6b)

I noticed I am getting more and more birds - 6 to 8 at one time swarming the feeder. I'll help to fatten them up!
