Cape Primrose-Streptocarpus

Seymour, IN(Zone 5b)

I would love to have a cutting of any color or a plant to trade or for postage. I loved the one I had years ago and I have a grow light now , and I think they would do good under one. Thanks, Lou

Ya, me too. I have tried to get one for a couple of years and can find no one who has any to trade. Good luck - they are lovely plants!

Brookhaven, PA(Zone 7a)

Mention in the AV forum a few of us have them! I will be able to trim Jason in the fall when I bring him in ( I planted my strep in the ground!) Check the "look who's happy in the shade" post

Fruitport, MI(Zone 5a)

I am in the process of rooting leaves. If I am successful with plenty of starts I'll be glad to share.

hi Lou-
I wasn't trying to be nosey, but clicked on your name and then clicked threads you've started...
I skimmed the ones that were in the Plant trading forum to get an idea of what you might have,...
any chance you have any of these, still?
datura 'missouri marble'
cobaea scandens
sacred lotus starts
thanks!

ps-
I checked the blue angel today and I have enough to cut on to make a solid covering over the inside of hanging basket rim. Just tack them down with old fashioned hair pins. Or sink slightly below the soil(no leaves below the soil). They root very easily.

I have only the sacred lotus left. It is a real beauty.Lou

Ok. I'll trade ya' for the sacred lotus?

By the way...where did you find the missouri marble? I remember a few years ago one of the girls at GW posted a picture of her variegated datura. She sold tissue samples to a grower. I wonder if this one was hers...
Very pretty. I would love to find and buy one somewhere if you might know where to buy one...
Why didn't you like it, anymore?

I'm not going to be able to mail today, so probably should wait until after the weekend so they don't sit at the post office an extra day...Is Monday ok?

The datura was not for our zone and I had two and tried to over winter one and had no success. So I wanted it to find a good home and traded it to a member who has a greenhouse so she could enjoy it all year. I bought it by mail order and I think it came from" Fragrant Gardens" catalog. I will get the lotus packed up and sent this weekend if possible and if not , Monday or Tuesday. I will let you know when I shop it. Thanks for the trade. Lou(My address is in the addy exchange list.)

Ok, thanks for letting me know. I'll try to locate your address that way...
Thanks for the reference. Fragrant gardens has great herbs. I'll need to check it out. They have a great selection of mints.
