Thanks, but unfortunately it died. I have tried to frow this plant several times and have never been able to keep the plants alive more than 2 or so years. It had been in a container that held about 2 quarts of soil.

Sorry to hear that, htop. My Zebra plant is about a year old and I already had to repot once. And although it is inside, I have to water it nearly daily.

Sorry to here that Htop. We have a few of them doing well. They are in pots outside thinking of trying one in the ground. Our plants are in good draining light soil-less mix lot of perlite. We do have good humdity here thouse it's been cool out. The tag read that it blooms best in 69-90 degree weather. Lot's of indirect light keep evenly moist. Before trans-planting ours were drying and drooping daily they were root bound . Now we water when the pot is light.
Did you progate any other plants from yours ?
Maria your plant is beautiful too ! What size pot do you have it in ? Does your bloom often ? Our plants are all in bloom have been for months.
We like variegated foliage and yellow flowers look great with it too !

Maria, yours is so lovely. I had repotted mine once. Maybe I needed to repot it again ...hmmm. I also was not diligently misting it. I miss mine.

RobinEggs, its great that you have several that are doiing fine. You might qanrt to try one in the ground. I would be hesitant to do so if it is doing so well -but, I'm a chicken sometimes. :o) I did not propagate any. It is indeed a beauitful plant whether or not it is blooming.

Robin, my Zebra had the yellow flower when I bought it. But not since then. It is in a 5-quart pot now (or so I think) and I got a feeling that it will have to be repotted again before too long. Hopefully, I will get to see that flower again.

How long has it been snese it flowered ? Does your plant get lots of indirect light ? Do you feed your plant ?
They are tropical and light heat and humdity . We got the extra plants by progating babies from Mom. My DH did not want to take the chance of putting one in the ground , so I felt by having extras plants just in case something happens to one we'd have more. Our potted plants are growing outside .

Thanks, htop. Robin, I want to say that it bloomed about a year ago (when I got it). It is inside and gets a lot of indirect light. I haven't been misting it, though. I have been using Peter All-Purpose because the plant label said to use a 20-20-20 fertilizer. Maybe I will take it outside, too once the night temperature stays above 55.

Yes when it gets warm you can bring it out your in Florida and they are tropical plants.
