I've been waiting on my plant to bloom and wouldn't you know, things started to go bad when I started bothering with it. The top of the tallest part broke off. It must have gotten hurt when I moved it out into more sun last week and the wind blew it over. It's been in some water for a few days and now it's starting to look poopy. Do I plant it or what??
Are you seeing any white nubbies at all?
Is the stem rubbery bendable or is it still crisp?
You can remove all of those big leaves. It is putting alot of effort into supporting them when it does not need to. Cut those off and that will help it to concentrate on making roots.
Thanks! I wasn't sure what you meant by "white nubbies" (haven't learned this Brugs lingo yet!) but when I went and looked, I saw white nubbies! I cut off the large leaves and will just sit and wait now. This was the very top part of my big plant that might have bloomed. :( Oh well, at least this one will be small enough to keep in the bathroom again this winter. The mama is too big this year. I guess she will live in the garage.

I don't know it all LOLOLOL that's for sure. When I referred to 'bendy' it means is the stem firm or kinda rubber bendable....I was playin' with Vicki :-) lol All Brug Addicted Addicts don't know all the answer's...we are still learning right along with ya ...just got a little more of a start is all :-)

If your brug is "bendy" with no leaves and no nubbies after a few days in water then more than likely it is not going to root , at least not in water. Sometimes you can salvage the cutting by trying the soil method instead.
Konkrete did you know there are Chippendale hornworms?
