New pods

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

That precocious deep yellow/gold brug of mine keeps on with her wild and wicked ways!!! I counted 14 seed pods on her today... What was blooming? Donnas Monster Brug, Rosamond, Isabella, Pink Beauty, Creamsickle, Versicolor Peach...take your pick.

Would anyone like a whole seed pod when they are ripe? Send me a Dmail

Carol

I am going to have to ground that one...take away the car keys...what ever!!

Looks like she's trying to follow in the footsteps of some other wicked brug ladies we've talked about on this forum. Such as hussy! LOL
Been too busy to post much, but I sure enjoyed hearing about your adventures in sailing Carol.

Sending you an email. I would love some seeds.

Ok Carol - your seeds are what I'll grow out this winter (unless I screwed up and managed to cross Harlot x GL). I hope you get something ripe.

I'll end up keeping the best of the group and carry it over year to year, regardless of whether it's release quality.

It's already named too: "Who's Ya Daddy"

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL Blaine. You are so funny!

WOW Carol, lots of babies there. And what a fun mix they could be. A real surprise, anticipation!!

Zion, IL(Zone 5a)

oooh, oooh.... if one of them takes off and has to be an 8' + monster like that brugie seedling I've got going, I have a 2nd name picked out. Considering it's from Hawaii and a parent may be the 'Monster White': "Elephant Weed"

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

Here are some alternative names:

Puna Gold (local pot)
Haole Madness (Haole = whiteman)
You be who'?
Yo' Mama!
Hilo Hatties'
Ahi Wela (Twinkle Star)

Hey...a whole line of Hawaiian Madness...gotta have some fun!

San Jose, CA(Zone 9b)

Too funny! "Who's Ya Daddy?" I LOVE it, Blaine!!

Do you pollinate your brug blooms, Carol? Or was this perhaps done by one of the moths that managed to get away from you? (chuckle...I would have flushed it, too, if it was demolishing my brugs! Your gardens must be gorgeous.

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

HAHA...it was all done behind my back!!! Must be those nasty moths. My luck the entire dwindling population will set up a tent city in my backyard!

Zion, IL(Zone 5a)

now you're working with me Carol. Mind if I put a slight twist on one of yours?

If I get a real girly or sultry colored one - 'Hilo Hottie'

If I ever get a seedling with some of those exaggerated tendrils,
"Tammy Faye" queen of the eyelashes.

Harlem, GA(Zone 8a)

LOL Blaine! Hilo Hottie!!!! ROLFMBO!

The seed pods are really lucky if they have ANY of those parents genes in them :-)

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

Blaine...you are TOO much!!! Love the Tammy Faye!!! And Hilo Hottie chortlechortle.

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

This place has some of the best entertainment in town. How about 'MuuMuu Madness'

Zion, IL(Zone 5a)

Linda... that's gotta stick around for a likely candidate as well.

Ok, ok.... the latest seedling to bloom from Julie's cross P804, has some tight recurve and that dark rim.. It's been dubbed "Liver Lips"

Harlem, GA(Zone 8a)

ROFLMBO!!! How cute is that! Well as you know, I had to chuckle on that one!

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

ROFLMBO here too! TOO much...

Yes...I agree...it is a wonderful, light, informative, whacky forum. How much should we sell this material for to the first Gardening Comedian?
