I get to come to San Antonio in September for classes. Wonder if there will be good plants at the nurseries and how do I get from the airport to Rainbow, lol.
Coming to SA for classes
I left SA for the hill country 15 yrs ago (TOO BIG!), but you should enjoy whatever classes you're taking. To get to Rainbow Gardens from the airport, go N on hwy281, exit Thousand Oaks, turn rt @ the intersection and it will be on your left about a mile or so down the road....unless you want directions to my ex-in-laws' house on Rainbow!! That's a different way LOL
Thanks dogmanis, I try to stay away from all inlaws, lol.
Or go west on 410 to Bandera, then north to our favorite location, which I think you visited before...right, htop?
I can find 410, I've been there twice!
The classes are out by the airport. Two days worth, 8-5, then an exam(test) at the end then ten days later another class. Then I'm finished till December. It's all CE, to keep my license up to date.
Yuska. yep, that's right.
calalily, too bad you aren't coming until September. I had saved up the fake dollars they give you with your purchase, They can be used in August toward the purchase of plants (up to 50% off). Unfortunately, my husband was laid off so I can't spend any money except on food and bills. I have about $154 of fake money that I can't use. I would have given it to you. Yuska, do you want some?
Oh goodness! The first classes are Sept 8-9 and gas is so expensive right now that I can't make an extra trip. Hope you find someone to spend them!
htop, that is a tempting and intriguing suggestion, and you are kind to offer. Right now I'm so caught up in a feverish pace on some family history stuff that my borther and cousins are helping to publish that the fall garden plans have been cut way back. I've barely been able to get the iris planted that I ordered earlier this spring. Maybe jester would like some? And most likely loudigger could use some.
CE - continuing education - Calalily, are you a Realtor?

Yes, it's CE and yes, it's real estate, lol.
That was my last stint in the working world (in California) before retirement, and I miss it.
I bet it's a lot different in CA than in TX! No one gets in a hurry down here, the mortgage companies from the big cities are always rush rush, and we just take our time!
htop-
We'll take them :) In fact, we'll even be nice, and share them with Jorge :)
smiling my best smile,
Trish
Trish, I only have $35.00 of the fake money left now after giving a bunch away. I will save these for you.
