Getting a hypen instead of a colon....how to change?

My DH's laptop 'puter keeps giving a hypen when he wants to type a colon (he wants to enter a time for his weekly timesheet).

Can't figure out how this happened....how to we change it so that colon/semicolon/hypen key types the colon when we shift?
