That would be great! You've got mail.

Does Pride of Barbadoes have different colors? I thought their flowers were yellow & orange.

west Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

They are a native Texas plant and do only come in orange and yellow.....They root very easy but I've never heard of anyone doing them from seeds.

Lindsay, OK(Zone 7a)

I have seen Frostweeds gardens, she started two from seed and they are doing great after only one year.

Center, TX(Zone 8b)

Someone sent me some seeds last year and they WERE doing great until the neighbors donkey came for a visit. He stomped them down. I was so bad I tried to run him off. You don't charge a donkey...they charge back!!! Scared me to death. So now I'm trying to find more seeds.

Oh you poor thing! I got such a visual out of that! Since it's a native plant around here and alot of people grow it (I just don't) I'll look around for seeds for you. Sounds like something that would happen to me......

Austin, TX(Zone 8b)

I have Pride of Barbados seeds that I can spare. I usually soak them for a couple of days then plant in small pots so I can protect them in winter. Plant outside in the spring. They do come in different colors. The local nursery has them in white and yellow. The traditional orange/yellow/red combo that I have seem to be the most prolific around here in Austin.
