Welcome to Daves Garden!

Hi Dino

Welcome to DG! If you haven't already found it, there's a great discussion going on in Indigenous Plants about Carnivorous plants.

The European forum is where some of us congregate and catch up with each other. We've a couple of Finnish chaps, Evert and Mitjo around your age from Europe but there are other teens here too like Paulwhwest.

What kind of orchids nd Carnivores do you have?

I hope you like it here :)

Hey Dino, so glad to see you introducing yourself at the Welcome Mat. How wonderful for all of us that you grow carnivorous plants as well as orchids. There are quite a few orchid lovers here but not too many carnivorous plant people so you will be a most welcome addition. So glad to have you here. The thread that Baa mentioned in indigenous plants is here-

http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/496566/

If you read the entire thread... yes, it is long... I have no doubt you would be able to offer comments on how best to grow Pinguicula. The thread started out discussing Sarracenia which is native to North America but it has sort of jumped all over the place now and Neps were being discussed at one point in time and those definitely aren't indigenous to the US or the UK.

Again, so glad you are here.
Bye for now, Equil

Hello from Alaska, Dino! You're going to like it here on Dave's Garden. It's always good to find new garden friends, and you are growing some very interesting plants! We all look forward to visiting with you.

Welcome, Dino, from one CP fanatic to another! I look forward to hearing about your CP collection! Wow, you're an Orchid fan too? And an herb fan! Are you into salvias? We have many things in common. Don't be shy, jump right in on any threads of interest, this is a friendly place, you'll see.

With warm regards,

As for orchids, theres a big variety there too, I even have a Cyprepedium reginae(hardy temperate slipper orchid species)
I like everything really lol

Equil,
thanks for the link, Il go there and post a bit later

Gerris,
Im very new to herbs, I started 'properly' about a week ago lol
Im visiting Jekka McVicars herb farm(have you heard of her in the US?) right at the beggining of September, so Il pick up quite a few plants there lol
But I wont have to go through a long car journey, her farm, its practiclly 20 minutes away from my house lol
Cant believe how lucky I am to live so close to the UK's leading herb expert lol
