CLOSED: MORE SEEDS READY TO GO...
How big is your gardeN LOL
DH slept in, no Dr today :( will probably be a moth before he can get another vacation day. I knew he would find areason not to go :(
Janis
Shoot...I hate to hear he didn't go!! How does he seem to be? Is he walking any better?
I have 4.5 acres to play around on...and have flower beds in many many places....but it would not bother me to plant 4.25 in beds...then I would not have to mow for 6 hours when that time comes each week...lol And with gas prices going out of this world...
Sue
seems 100% better, maybe more tired, but his work schedule is so hard :( no limp I can tell anymore but its still scary :( I guess we'll just wait and see.
BTW, I'm moving to your house LOL
Janis
LOL...come on ...my hubby is building a guest house out at the pond! Just remember to bring some plants...LOL
you just wait til I show up at you door, U haul loaded with plants LOL Hopefully I can find room for kids and clothes.
lmao
Janis who is goofy and going to bed now LOL
NIGHT NIGHT!!! LOL...Sleep well!!
Blackwolf, I would love some sweet hibiscus seeds. Look at my list under 'trading' and see if there's anything you fancy. Thanks.
Maggi xxxx
I will gladly send you some. Just send me a SASE and I will gladly share!!
Sue
Hi would love a few more, the moon vine, confereate rose and the sweet hibiscus if you have any left. Thanks
Sue , I can't send you postage as I can't buy US stamps in Spain. Would you be interested in doing a trade with me?
Maggi
Sue,
After looking at the confederate rose several times since you posted, I still want it. Even though it says zone 7a, I think maybe sheltered in my 6b will work. May I send you a SASBuE too for the rose and some Rose Campion also? If you'll send me some sweet hibiscus seeds for Maggi, I'll send them on to her. As pretty as they are, they won't make it this far north. LMK how much you think I'll need to put on in stamps to cover the 3 sets of seeds? Thanks, Suzi :)
Briar....I will gladly send you some seeds!!
I cut my confederate rose back each year and restart them by cuttings, and collect the seeds too. I believe you could easily grow them if you do stem cuttings or seeds each year.
Thanks so much for offering to send Sorgina the hib. seeds, I will gladly send them to you too. And Rose campion, and anything else you see I have that you might be interested in.
My address is in the Exchange.
Have a fantastic weekend!!
Sue
Briar Rose, that's so kind of you. Have a look at my trade list and LMK what I can send you in exchange. I'm also working on a way to obtain US stamps so that I can send SASEs in future. See this thread : http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/538832/
I'm amazed how friendly and helpful people are on DG. It's a wonderful place.
Maggi xxxx
Sue,
Interested in lots! Unfortunately, zone deprived, LOL!! At least I can grow all my fruits up here. I see you like butterfly bushes too. Do you have many of them already? I'll get the SASBuE into Monday's mail for you. Thanks, Suzi :)
Briar.... I have collected some seeds and plan to start packaging them up in a few mins. I will add them to the list of things to send you. I read where a guy said he starts his in gravel and dirt mix...mostly gravel. So I think I am going to try that next.
Thanks again so very much for sending the seeds to Sorgina for me!!!
Sue
Zone deprived in 6b? Try living in 4b! I do have a bit of success with zone 5 stuff, but maybe it is just the mild winters lately... one of these years I am gonna lose a lot of stuff...
I would like to send an evelop for some Scarlett Bee Balm seed; however, I put in a search for the Address Exchange and could not find any such thing. Would you please advise.
Posie4U,
Actually, go to Home, then Extras, then Address Exchange, then save it in your favorites... or throw a link on your desktop. You have to enter yours to be able to read the others.
This should help: http://davesgarden.com/address_exchange/ ~ Suzi :)
Thanks a million, Suzi. A great help.
Zarebeth - I think we always want what we can't have, just like kids... There are things I wish I could grow here but simply cannot! Maybe that is why peo get greenhouses! I think we weigh the good, the bad and the options, then choose. I choose to stay here.
I realize I am in a great zone! It is better than the weather was at my Dad's, by Cleveland, where I grew up. It is much better here than when I lived in upstate NY, in the foothills of the Adirondack mtns. It is also MUCH better than living in Korea, "the land of the frozen chosen"! On the other hand, here is no where as warm as when I lived in TX. Can have lilacs here too, which I love, couldn't there! ~ Suzi :)
You are welcome Posie4U!
Sorry I did not see your prior post Maggi, maybe we were typing at same time. I prob went out of room, came back a little later and typed then posted. You are welcome! I'll have to take a look at your list and see. ~ Suzi :)
I would like confederate rose, sweet hibiscus, rose champion and touch me nots. How early would I have to start the confederate rose to get blooms in my zone?
I have a variegated butterfly bush but have never tried to harvest seed or what they even look like. It has purple flowers. I'd be glad to get seed from this for you if you could assist me on how/when to do it.
Thanks a bunch!
Hi I'd love to get confederate rose And scarlet bee balm if avaliable Please let me knoe and the sase will be sent ,,,Thank You Sharon
Hi Sue,
Many thanks for the seeds, they arrived in the mail. Can't wait to be able to plant them !!!
Thankyou again !!!
~Julie =0)
JAB...you are so welcome!! Happy growing!!
Sassy...sure..send me an SASE... I have had a few come back short postage...so I suggest 49cent. I think I send alot more seeds than most folks do, judging from the seeds I have recieved from others.
Kathy....I am kind of new to all this. Maybe some of the other GREAT folks out there in DG LAND could chime in with correct info.I would hate to give you false inforamtion. But you are welcome to any of the seeds I have!!
Sue
Sue,
My car wasn't working and needed stamps before could send the SASBuE to you. It went out Thur, sorry for the delay. ~ Suzi :)
