Marshfield, MO(Zone 6a)

Here are some of my crosses, some grown by me, some by other seedling parents, I'll post other crosses on separate threads. This first one is Susanne x Rothkirch #1

Susanne x Rothkirch #4, this one, in my opinion, is the most promising out of the bunch as the color isn't pink, but more canteloupe, very nice

Lovely Mary!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Great preview.

Just to let those who signed up for my Arborea seeds, I also sent you all at least 10 of these seeds from the same cross Mary is showing, Susanne X Rothkirch. Good luck with them!

I have also sent this cross out to a lot more of you in the last 2 months. I also sent Rothkirch x Susanne to some of you. So if you had no clue what I was sending to you, you can get a glimpse of what might be coming.

Marshfield, MO(Zone 6a)

Weird happening on the last one, the nice peachier one, the calyx of the first flower had a pink portion that looked like it wanted to be another corolla. Check this pic out.

Really interesting - the outer corolla dropping afterwards....maybe.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Very pretty, Mary.

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

Pretty! I don't think I've ever seen an ugly Rothkirch hybrid.

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

Very pretty Mary! Is #1 as huge as it looks?

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

What a beautiful show. Thanks for sharing them, Mary.

Ashton, IL(Zone 5a)

They're all beautiful. I really like the frontal picture of #1.

Beautiful blooms, and what a 'brug farm' you've got going there.

Im crossing my first pair right now.
I have a seed pod in the forming.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I like Susanne crossed to RK better than to L'Amour. Don't you think the offspring is prettier from this cross?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Very nice, Mary. I like them all, but #4 really does catch my eye.

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

All of them are lovely! Great job!!

Dundee, OH(Zone 5b)

Oh dear!! I just truly adore #4!!!! That color is scrumptious!

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

I'm in love Mary!!! I LOVE Susanne. Your cross is really nice, congrats!! Hey, is she fragrant??

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

WOW, look at those tendrils

Marshfield, MO(Zone 6a)

Thanks everybody. Yes, Susie, I am liking this cross more. I am more sure the L'amour x Susanne blooms are different enough from PB or Rosamond to be keepers, except that weird "missing link" one. Sherry, were you asking about Susanne being fragrant, or one of the seedlings?

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

Thank you for sharing all of your photos, they are wonderful. It is very interesting to see all of the variations from the crosses.
I really dig the fourth one, too, what a color and what a shape!
Congrats!

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

Asking about the seedlings, Mary - my Susanne smells like heaven, I love everything about her and I'm most interested in her kiddos...

Adrian, MI(Zone 5b)

I'm drooling on my keyboard!! They are beautiful!!

Susanne x RK #5, newly open tonight, the calyx is riding way low on the bloom, don't know if it will retain that trait with successive blooms.

Here is a pic of #1 again, the same flower as the very first in this thread, has held up pretty well to the extreme heat here. Excuse blurry picture.
