Disco Belle Red?

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

I think this H Hibiscus might be confused. It was labeled from a nursery as Disco Belle Red, but its blooming like this. Do they color up more as the day goes on? This is the 1st Hardy I have had that has bloomed, so Im not sure what to expect.
If its not DBR, any ideas? LOL

Hi! Very pretty bloom! I believe that there are two varieties of Disco Belle. There is a red and a white. It appears that you have the white variety.

Thank you Dharma. I was just out looking at it, and it sure hasnt changed colors. I appreciate your post. I was hoping maybe since it was the 1st bloom, that it was just confused LOL.

You're welcome! Some hibiscus (actually a lot) can and do change colors with the heat of the day. Additionally various enviromental factors can affect bloom colors. I think that is why I love hibiscus so much. No two blooms are the same.

Back to your lovely plant. It has distinctive coloring patterns of the white variety so I feel confident that it is not a red.

I have it. Had both but the red one didnt overwinter for me. Yours looks correct..there is a white and red variety :)

Actually, if I remember right, there is a whole series of Disco Belle and a whole series of Souther Belle. The only difference is the size of the plants.
