Any help is needed in this problem. The plant seems healthy but all of the pods just fell off yesterday. This brug was sent to me so I don't know it's name. I lost my paper work and don't know who sent it to me. The first is a picture of the plant and the pods will follow.
Thanks, George
Pods fell off.
What a shame. The only times I have lost my flower buds are when I have moved the plant to where it didn't get as much light or to conditions that were very different or when the plant is genetically flawed and drops most of its buds all the time.
Did you do anything different to it just before it dropped them?
Oh, also when I let it one go dry too long. But them I also get lots of yellow leaves to. Oh and when I burn my plants with too much granular fertilizer. They then drop all flower buds and all leaves.
Pods usually refer to the seed pods of this plant after the blooms are successfully pollinated. Though I can see where the flower buds look like pods, too.
I think that's buds isn't it?
Isn't that a different looking bud?? I've never seen one like that...
Thanks guys, I'm still learning. What I'm talking about is the buds, I guess. The things that the flower drops down from, lol.
Yep that be a bud lol...wow this is odd. I know pods sometimes fall when there's alot of rain unless something it chewing it off!...but I don't see alot of wholey leaves either. It's just a nice lush green pretty plant.
I hope someone will come along and solve this mystery George. I'll be watching for an answer too. Maybe Monika or Brugie will see this and answer. Best of luck
Julie
I had a lot of bud drop this year when it was so hot. Then it stayed hot so long that not many buds develped. I'm just now seeing some nice buds and hope that nothing happens to them.
I am having a bud problem too...a few of my brugs are developing tiny buds, but then the buds are not growing at all, staying the same tiny size for a month. Not dropping off, like I have had happen before, just sitting there doing nothing.
They are getting water, enough light, and tasty food with micronutrients. I even did the epsom salts twice this summer. I am wondering if the excessive heat has done me in here too.
I will have to watch. Two brugs have improved over the last few days, with our slightly cooler temps, and the buds are now growing, but the rest are still "stuck" in low gear. Hmmmmmm.
George, I feel your pain.
Thanks for the feedback guys. I guess I'll write it up to the heat. Now is that a cop out or what? lol...

Happy Birthday George :))
