I'll have to Dmail poppysue and see if she remembers the name of this cross, I believe she sent the seeds as an extra when she sent me some daylily seeds and my writing on the tag has faded.

A Poppysue Seedling
A deeeep pink.
Pretty, pretty!
Congratulations both of you!
I have a poppysue seedling that will begin to show it's first flowers in a day or two! I'm praying for a deep pink! If it looks anything like yours I'll be a very happy girl!
I edited my first post to show the name of the cross. Yes it is a nice deep pink, and fragrant too! Kind of like lilies, but sweeter. It was well worth the wait.
That's beautiful Eileen. Would somebody remind me what trait is shown by the 1 split in calyx.
Congrats to the both of you from me too! How lovely she is, I know you're in LOVE :-)
Linda, I'd be interested to be reminded to lol...just love the trait of one split in the calyx though :-)
Hugs
Julie
Very pretty. Congrats to you both.
versicolor and x candida have one split in calyx
Eileen, she's wonderful! I want to sniff her....
I am familiar with Rosamond, but what do Ursuline, Australie and Ursuline x Australie look like?
Congrats to you guys, what a healthy, beautiful brug!!
Jackie
NICE!! Thanks Vicki!
Ursuline x Australie = H-Dreckmann SP- Poppysue
The first flower on Sue's baby was a drop dead gorgeous deep peach nodder. I don't know if the flowers stayed that way or what it matured to look like.

Thanks Vicki, and thanks Eileen, so much for the pics and info.... I love all three!
What's a brug crazy girl to do? Take a second mortgage , I guess.
Man, I have a lot of expansion to do. The list keeps growing. That's what I get for asking so many questions.
I think that the names are beautiful too, do I have it bad or what??
Are any of these available here?
Thanks for the photos. I agree, the Ursuline x Australie seedling of Poppysue's is a knock-out. Was it ever given a name or is it in trial?

It looks like she didn't keep it.
Very pretty!
:(
but I am beginning to come to terms with composting, lol
Orange Sherbert is really pretty too, aahhhh, is she still in circulation?
Thanks again for all the info!!
Jackie
Such a pretty one. You lucked out big time!!
I know, kell, I was just thinking that same thing. I hope poppysue sees what good work she did.
Really pretty. Good job Sue and Eileen.

Very nice Eileen. Love the dark color.
OMG!!!!!!....never seen a live one and already an addict............ will they take the Texas heat?
WOW! She's a beauty! Congratulations to you both!!
That is a beauty! Love it.
Thank you for showing the picture of this brug....picture after picture brought me to more moaning at the beautiful color...this is one gorgeous brug.....Judy
I should take a picture of the small plant with about 14 blooms dangling from one skinny trunk and a small canopy. There are 2 secondary trunks at the base of the main one but they have just Y'd and the whole plant is only 3 to 3.5 feet tall from the soil line.
This is what I wanted so badly when, last year, I was drooling over kell's, Brugie's, and everyone else's beauties. ( I don't think I have any yet that are as fabulous as Monika's but I have a large yard and much hope in my heart!)
Yes it is taking the heat well as long as I water every day because she's in a pot. Too bad it's in full sun, which together w/ the heat lets the blooms last only about 4 days before they get limp. But hey, it's only the first year! I'm glad you all like her.
Does anyone know where poppysue has been?
I am needing to know also....................
