Huntington, IN(Zone 5b)

Looking for irises only!!! Preferably tall bearded. This plant is very fragrant licorice scent with Apricot flowers. Hummingbirds love mine. It's foilage is a greenish gray. Perennial in my zone. I have only one for trade. Looking for nice pretty iris( I don't have. )Please post a picture or let me know the name. It dosen't have to be named if I get a picture. This plant will have to be cut down for shipping it is about 15 inches tall. I would like two irises for this plant since it is over two years old.

Edited: forgot to add this I don't need any purple/lavender irises unless there unusual.

I don't remember where I got these lavender irises or the name, but I really like them. They are quite tall (4ft after 3 or so years!) and have lots of blooms on each stalk. See my pic......

I've got 2 more pics... this one was taken this past May....

And I was working on re-doing this bed when I took this pic. The irises had been planted there about 4 years and had been thinned out at least once. They are also fragrant.

Gardenergail,Oh my I do feel bad. My sincere apology! I forgot to put that I have enough purple irises. Unless they are an unusual bi-color. I usually put this in my post but I forgot. You don't have any other irises hiding in your backyard or something that might tempt me?

Bay, AR(Zone 7a)

No problem! I do have another, but it's white stands and dark purple falls (edit: sorry, no pics of it). I need to thin out these lavenders and thought that would be a good way to move some of them out. ButterflyChaser is having a plant swap/Garden Party in a few weeks and I can take them to trade there.

I recently was gifted with a few new ones (Joyce Terry, Melissa, and Easter Clouds) but they're small and I need them to grow up and multiply before trading.

Hope you get some good ones!!
Gail

Thanks for understanding gail..someone just sent me Joyce Terry too and I can't wait to see her. Maybe we will bump into each other at a later time. I ordered some from Argyle Acres this year for my B-day so maybe in a year or two we can trade. Too bad I couldn't come to that garden party.

Oh, yeah, we'd love to have you! And I'm sure we'll bump into each other again... I'm not going anywhere! lol

Did you get a trade for your agastache?

Gail

Hi Gail,
Not yet..I still have her. Why were you thinking about swiping someone's irises?? He He I won't tell I promise.

Centerville, UT(Zone 6a)

I have some sky-blue irises if you would like to trade.

hehe is right! I came "this" close to posting that my neighbor across the street has about 25 or 30 varieties of tb iris, all different colors, but she doesn't know ANY names. She doesn't "do" trading or selling or anything. She just buys and plants what she likes and gives away divisions. As a matter of fact, I was supposed to mark the ones I wanted back when they were blooming and never got around to it. They'll be there next year I guess. She hasn't gotten rid of any that I can tell, and every year she says "get whatever you want!" I wish now I'd taken some pics of hers then! lol

Maybe next time,
Gail

Hi JoleneS,
my those are nice. My MIL just gave me some "full tide" they look very similiar.I just looked them up. Any other irises that you might have?

Centerville, UT(Zone 6a)

Full Tide does look very similar. You can never tell until you compare the actual blooms, though. Anyway, I'm afraid the only extras I have right now are the unnamed sky-blue and Immortality (pure white).

Huntington, IN(Zone 5b)

Jolene,
Thanks for your time anyway. I got Immortality last year too. I just started collecting them a couple of years ago..I really don't have that many but it seems as though I have something very similiar to my replys. One of the problems is I got many unamed ones and took pictures of them so I have to sift through the ones I have pictures of and the ones that have names. I just got a few irises from Argyle Acres(for my B-day) and already some tags are fading. I do not sell so I hate to spend money on nice tags. Maybe what I should do is ask for specifics for what I would like...maybe I will try that.

Centerville, UT(Zone 6a)

Totally understandable. Good luck in your efforts.
