rooting iochromas questions?

Judsonia, AR(Zone 7b)

I have a few questions on rooting some iochromas.

I can root the grandiflora and the royal blue really easy, but the rest of them, I can't seem to get my cuttings to root before they rot or just plain die.

Has anybody else had trouble rooting any of the iochromas other than the two mentioned here. I wish I could root my wine red, plum, indigo, skyking, fush???? (spelling) too lazy to look it up, sorry. I've tried several times to root them with no luck. but I have quite a few rooted grandiflora and royal blue.

Help please, I have some fall trades lined up for some of these, and Ican't trade if I can't root them.

I rooted some a couple of years ago, in sand, in the shade. Renee_O has had good luck rooting them. I had hoped they would root as easily as brugs, but I sure found out, that wasn't going to be the case.

Kathy_Ann , do you have any of the rooted that you would like to trade off?

patricia, I think I have a grandiflora and royal blue that isn't spoken for. I'm getting pretty scarce on room for plants around here, but I am looking for some really nice daylilies, or just tempt me, I might decide I want it and not even realize I want it LOL Not too much into tropicals any more except maybe a few brugmansias I don't have.

Brugie, I know what you mean, I get about 45% of my cuttings to root, maybe less. I was able to get one red wine, and 2 plums to root, having bad luck with the indigo and sky king though,

took more cuttings today, and stuck them in water with liquid rooting hormone and put them inside the house, and will change the water daily, adding more hormone each day also, this is a new way for me, I'm hoping I get some cuttings to root before they rot. But things aren't looking good, seems I had better luck rooting them when it was alot cooler outside, back in march I had better luck.
