How many of ya'll have noticed an increase of hummers around your feeders lately? I do believe that the migration to Mexico has indeed started.

Jeez-- I was just beginning to enjoy our hummers and now already they may be leaving? Summer has (literally) flown by!

I seem to see a lot of skinny juveniles at our feeders and I haven't noticed any fat red throats (males) lately, so maybe the boys have left. I did find this essay explaining the southern migration of ruby throateds, if anybody is interested...
