Just a bad shot of my brugs last night was raining, so slightly blurry
Plants with Brugs
which one is this and is that a river in the background or a cement driveway with what looks to be lush borders on both sides?
Laurrie, they still look as pretty as the first day they bloomed! Awesome and so lush green too....What do you fertilize with? I can't help but noticing...is that a walkway or sidewalk in back of the brug? And I'm seeing some other beautiful flower's surrounding her too. They are lovely Laurrie, what all's out there? Im so nosey, but I just love flowers period...:-)))))

Did you get my Dmail? I can't get on my computer, DH is doing some kind of new maintenance program on it and it's taking forever to defrag, Argh!
LOL that is my new cement patio just poured 7-16-05, and I have those old road bricks edging it, the patio is the whole front length of my house and it has a walkway going around to the end of my house where we also have a whole end patio, all the lush green are just tons of zinnias, hostas, cleome, brugs, dats, mg's hmmmmmmmmmmm oh yeah, this was Blush last night, beaten down by the nasty winds and hard rain. Will try to take better shot today after I get home from work!
ps :-) Yup Julie got your dmail
Here is Blush on left, which is planted on corner of house, you can see where I "turned" the sidewalk to come around the end of the house, I will have you know my husband and his brother did NOT want me to have this patio like this, they wanted a plain rectangle in front of house butted clear up to the basement block, but I wanted flowerbeds in front of the house!, they told me if I wanted it different, I had to do it myself, well I did and I am proud of it, I have little areas that jut off for seating too, forming wasn't too bad once I got the hang of it and how to make the grade so water would run off LOL
See it's such a mess, we are getting a litte done at a time, we moved back in sometime in April, were out since January 6th, so alot more needs to be done, but I have patience!!!!!
These are all my Brugs lined up in front of livingroom windows, and please don't look at the mess!! We just had gotten the new windows put in, no trimwork done yet :(
Julie, forgot to mention I use the alfalfa tea on all my plants, I think I told you about in Dmail :)
Ok off to work, hope our guests are moving fast today so I can get home early LOL
Wow, you did that?? I am floored LOL wow! Great job too, and shame on them men for not wanting to do it unless they butted it all the way up to the basement block....I think it looks GREAT and I just love your flower gardens too, what wonderful varieties you have, and in the last pic...lol @ the cat hehehe too cute....I love the view of the hills in the background. You should be proud of yourself. Hugs!
(((J)))
No doubt, you really should be proud of yourself!!! You have created a beautiful haven there. I'd be jumping up & down if it were mine. LOL I'd certainly have posted more pics than you did. And your brugs are so pretty & healthy too! WTG!!!
OK there ya go Sherry, you must now post more pics...give a tour of your garden, it'll be fun, and I agree, I wish it were mine too! Mine needed weeding so badly, it just got chopped with the weedeater :-(...But with taking care of Hailey, my GD during the week, it's really hard getting out there for any length of time to weed. I'm using the ole' weed mat for any beds I make next year GEESH, I'm getting back pains as it is holding Hailey LOL!
Oh, that's not funny btw, I'm not laughin'

Oh my gosh...can I come live with you?....Your yard is stunning!...You must spend all day in the yard....I am running to get my alfalfa right after work!....I love your hostas among the brugs..all I can have are 4o'clocks and selected ferns because the deer are so agressive in the gardens and I hate the look of electric fences......do you have any suggestions for other plants that deer do not enjoy....I am so jealous of all your new concrete...looks fabulous!
OK I will give this place to the first taker LOLOLOL It is in dire need of so much work, we need to re-roof, siding, finish trim the outer part of the new windows, and if you noticed in one picture, my front door area, lol, well we had a nice solid glass storm door on there until a nasty strong storm came thru and just ripped it off!! no joke, I think i even have pics here somewhere, If i can find them I will stick on here, and another thing ..........the back yard, yes, I have 2 acres to garden on, BUT the back yard and the west side of the house are off limits to me, it is still in dire need of leveling after the flood that I don't care to even see the nasty weeds growing, I just pretend I dont' have a back yard right now LOL
OK couldn't find the storm door hanging by a shock, but here was when I started the digging to layout the 2x4 forms LOL
OK ya twisted my arm, took these pics for Donna before, but guess I can share my MESS with you all, just don't fall over, it is UGLY!!!!!!!!!!! The back yard is where they stuck or should I say piled up my entire old block from the basement project - and with the bulldozers running allover the place, there isn't a level nice spot left back there!
'Blush" is lookin' beautiful, Zinnas are so colorful and the patio walkway earns you an A+! Great job!! You should be very proud of yourself!!
LOL A+ huh? I will tell my hubby and his brother that! Actually I think they were thrilled with the way it turned out AFTER all the pouring was done, before it just looked like harder areas to reach with the wheelbarrow LOL
Zinnias were planted in our veggie garden by Robert (hubby) LOL I stole them right quick for my gardens after the patio was done, he didn't mind, he said he was tired of weeding around them LOL
