I'm starting to get to that part of the year where I look at all of the stuff that has propagated during the year and wonder how on earth it is all going to go in the greenhouse (which I have yet to put up at my new house -- but that is another story).
In particular, I have a number of bananas which have to go and a number of other (sub)tropicals which are starting to take up too much space. I'm diligently trying to update my trade lists here, so you can check those, but these must find homes:
--Banana - Super Dwarf Cavendish - 5 pups, all well-established and growing much too fast for their 2, 3 and 5 gal pots.
--Banana - 'Psang Ceylon' - I separated this pup for convenience when repotting its mama, but now it has to go
--Alocasia esculenta - very robust elephant ear, clump grows and keeps forming new bulbs and I have nowhere to put them
--Starfruit - Averrhoa carambola - Still trying to get rid of these extra 1 1/2 year old seedlings.
I also have a group I call the unknowns, because my children kindly removed their tags and now their varieties are unknown. This group includes
--various edible figs (somewhat hardy)
--unknown epiphyllums (tropical/tender)
--rose of sharon starts of unknown color (very hardy)
I seem to have sown too many plants of
--papalo
--bolivian coriander
--cinnamon basil
Finally please let me know if you'd like to take some of these houseplants off my hands, such as
--common sanseveria
--ficus benjamina
--arborcola (sometimes mistakenly called schefflera)
--miniature boston ivys
--unnamed african violets.
I'm always nervous about sending plants for postage, mostly because I don't know where they're going, but I'll consider it on a case-to-case basis, and I'm certainly not looking for much for the houseplants.
I'm looking for saba and rajapuri bananas. Besides my trade lists I like bulbs, perennials hardy in zone 7, and a whole range of other things. I also have a weakness for plumeria, brugs, hibiscus, passifloras, rare variegates, and things that smell nice.
Have: bananas, EEs, various other plants
I'd be interested in the 2 nanas and a star fruit
I'll email you

I would love a couple Epiphyllums - if you would like to trade for Brugs babies - Isabella, Rosamond or Species. I think I also have a cross or two as well. Let me know if you would like any of these Brug varieties -
Julie
Bear with me; I received a lot of personal messages and am trying to handle these in the order I received them. Additionally, weekends are time with the family away from the computer, so I haven't been on the computer much the last two days.

It's probably gone but if by any chance your Psang Ceylon is still available I have a Blue Java (Ice Cream) Banana or a Musella lasiocarpa (Chinese banana) to trade for it. Or several varieties of Colocasia and Alocasia to trade.
Thank you,
Loretta
I believe I have contacted everyone that responded in this thread or via D-mail. I'm going by order of who contacted me first and I will update this thread with anything left once I have firmed up the trades with those who have already contacted me. Thanks to everyone for helping me find good homes for my plants!
