Sedum as Ground Cover

A landscaper recommended a variety of sedum for a ground cover. It is on a steep terrace in full sun that remains wet much of the time since it is at the bottom of a hill.

Does anyone know if this will work. I am getting ready to pay him $1700.00 to do the planting on a 3000 square foot area.
