Ideas for a very special memorial garden

Last night I had another dream about my long gone kitty. I'm lucky he comes and visits me in my dreams at least. I've had and lost many pets throughout my life, but I'd never had a connection like that before! My husband and I just moved from the house where he's buried, so we'd like to do something special for him here. Any ideas? I'm still quite the newbie at gardening...
