Yellow Squash in Russian Pickles

I was making Russian Pickles; onions & cucumbers in a brine of water, sugar, vinegar, sprinkle of red pepper flakes, when I saw that lone yellow squash and thought, why NOT.

The squash was just as good if not better than the cucumbers when fixed in this manner.

Try it, you might like it!!
