Very pretty yellow Brug! I also like your flowering Crepe Mrytle too!

I put her, and her 'sisters' in mom's basement where they get light and 65-70 degree temps. Little water over winter. They look shabby in early Spring but see what I have now!

The corkscrew willows are wonderful too.

I love your brug and your place, your crepe myrtle and corkscrew willow add a touch of whimsy...

I love corkscrew willows! I use them all the time in arrangements. Yours looks like a mature one. So attractive at your entryway! And of course I love your crape myrtle. The brug adds so much color. I love the look.

the willow is wonderful in arrangements. In early spring, before the buds really start, I cut stems and put in a vase. In just a couple days I have vivid green spring leaves sprouting. It's a really cheery way to get a jump on spring.

Great picture and your yellow brug is just perfectly formed.....Judy

That is a pretty flower.. I have never heard of them before that I know of...I"m guessing they're not particularly easy to keep year after year??

and I want that tree too :-) we need something to shade our new porch...hrmmmm

E,
What tree - the corkscrew willow? I'll have new starts for you this spring and you will have a tall tree in no time. The Crape Myrtles are easy and pick them up at Wally World for $5 or $12 for larger ones at Lowes.

I had never heard of Brugs either - until DG. I got some starts from one of the forums and I put the 3 that I have in mom's basement over winter. Worked well last year.

That Corkscrew Willow tree is the first I've seen and to get that HUGE!!!! Wow! Course, I only know of the vine..... If by chance there's another peice/start of it, I would love you forever!!!! *winks* She's awesome!!!. :-) Does she smell good? I bet she does, and between that and the brug there, you're probably drunk with aroma when you stand in your front doorway!

Going to Google Corkscrew Willow :-)))

Beautiful entrance to your home. Sometimes I think just having a couple of brugs that are really well taken care of might be the answer. I'm getting so many that I don't know where I'm going to put them all when they get bigger, and I don't seem to get around to keeping them trimmed, fertilized and sprayed like I should.

I'll keep this tread so I can send BrugA some corkscrew willow in spring. I've given tons of them away. They root in about a week. Mom put several small rooted stems together aroung her porch and now she has a 7 ft privacy fence of willow. It's beautiful and not a tons of leaves to rank.

I need a lesson on trimming my Brug. It's only 2 years old I think.

How big are those blooms? They look huge!

Holy cow! I would so love to have a tree like that :)

Hopefully one day I can have a nice shaded entry way like that ..it looks so homey. Right now we just get the blaring sun in our face on the front porch but we're workin on it :)

Wow! What a lovely welcome she is to visitors! :)
