Boy do I have alot to read on that thread..but what im getting confused about is that when Is tarted to grow brugs everybody told me that I should be using a 20/20/20 to start out..when I saw buds I was told to go to 10/52/10 which is labeld bloombooster...this has done good for me and thought it was the wya to go..now I come to DG adn find its all together different...hmmmmmmm......Judy
I'm using Peters Excel - Cal-Mag 15-5-15
I had been told that they don't need a high middle number.

Hi Judy,
Monika, who knows her brugs, has said that it is best not to use a fertilizer with a high middle number. Before this year all I could find was a fertilizer with the high middle number and had what I considered great results. This year I was lucky enough to be able to get the new formula of Miracle Grow, they are changing it from 15-30-15 to 24-8-16.
Given that the weather has really been a bad factor for everyone this year, I can't really say that there is a lot of difference in my brugs. But if the weather was more "normal" I probably would see better results. Plus I have not been as dedicated to fertilizing my brugs on schedule ( 2 x a week) this year. If I was, maybe the difference would be evident.
Here is a link to the Miracle Grow site that talks about the new formula.
